Services
App Store and Google Play services for indie developers
We build and ship our own apps on the App Store and Google Play. The unglamorous half of that job — listings, keywords, localization, reading reviews properly, getting a rejected build accepted — is what we take on for other independent developers. Fixed scope, fixed price, no retainer required.
- We are the developer, not an agency looking in. PDFPivot ships on iOS, Android and Mac. Three solitaire card games ship on iOS. VidPivot ships on Android.
- Our own iOS listing is published in 24 App Store languages, including localized product names where the storefront rewards them — France sees PDFPivot : Éditeur PDF, Japan sees PDFPivot: PDF編集.
- Roughly 19,000 translated strings across 25 locales sit behind those releases, kept in sync release after release.
- About 55 pre-submission checks run before anything is uploaded — every one added because something went wrong for us once. That checklist is what you are actually hiring.
What you can buy
Each of these is a defined piece of work with a deliverable you keep. Prices vary with the size of the app and the number of storefronts, so the ranges below tell you whether it is worth a conversation — you get an exact number before you pay anything.
| Service | Price | What you get | Buy |
|---|---|---|---|
| App Store Localization Sprint | $499 – $1,499 | Your listing researched and published in additional App Store languages — name, subtitle, keywords, promotional text and description — uploaded through the App Store Connect API. No SDK, no code change, no new build. | Buy now |
| Full Store Presence | From $2,500 | The whole job for one app across both stores: listing rewrite, localization, screenshots, review mining and the submission run — scoped and quoted as a single engagement rather than assembled from parts. | Get a quote |
| ASO Audit Sprint | $249 | A line-by-line read of one listing: name, subtitle, keyword field, description, screenshots, category and the terms you are realistically reachable on. You get a ranked list of changes in priority order — not a score out of a hundred. The fee is credited against any larger engagement booked within 30 days. | Get a quote |
| Review-Mining Report | $299 | Your reviews and your competitors' reviews, read and clustered into recurring complaints, feature requests, and the exact words users reach for. Half of it belongs in your listing copy; the other half is your next three bug fixes. | Get a quote |
| App Rejection Rescue | $599 | You have a rejection notice and a guideline number. We read the actual rule, tell you what the reviewer is looking at, prepare the changes and the reply, and stay with it until the build is through. | Get a quote |
| Play Store Listing Sprint | Quoted per app | A rewrite of the Google Play listing — title, short description, full description, and the graphic assets brief — pushed through the official Play Developer API rather than typed into a form and hoped for. | Get a quote |
| IAP / Paywall Implementation | Quoted per app | Products configured on the store side, purchase and restore wired up properly, receipts validated, and a paywall that is honest about what it sells. Both stores have their own traps here; we have already fallen into most of them. Quoted per app rather than fixed, because scope here depends entirely on your existing code — the quote names the platform, the product types and the support window. | Get a quote |
| Store-Ops Retainer | From $499 / month | The ongoing version: keyword and ranking watch, new reviews read and summarised, listing refreshed when the store changes the rules, and a submission checklist run before each of your releases. | Enquire |
Straight about one thing
No client logos. No testimonials. Not yet. This is a new services practice, so there is no wall of logos here and no case studies with invented numbers. We would rather say that plainly than manufacture social proof — you would find out either way.
What we can put in front of you instead: our own apps in both stores, the actual checklist we run, and a sample of the deliverable for whichever piece of work you are considering. Ask before you commit anything.
How an engagement runs
- You send the store link and the problem. One email is enough to start.
- We reply with scope, price and a date — or with the reason it is not worth paying us for. That second answer happens, and it is free.
- You approve and pay. Payments run through Paddle, which handles VAT and sales tax for your country.
- Access at kick-off, not before. A scoped API key or a team invite, revocable in one click. Nothing is shared while you are still asking questions.
- You keep the deliverable, whether or not you work with us again.
Frequently asked questions
Who actually does the work?
The same person who ships our own apps. We publish PDFPivot on iOS, Android and Mac, three solitaire card games on iOS, and VidPivot on Android — written, submitted, rejected, fixed and resubmitted by us. You are hiring a developer who works these stores weekly, not an agency describing them from the outside.
Which services can I buy directly, and which are quoted?
Some are fixed and some are quoted, and the split is deliberate. Work with a contained, predictable scope has a fixed price you can pay immediately: the ASO Audit Sprint at $249, the Review-Mining Report at $299, App Rejection Rescue at $599, and the three Localization Sprint tiers. Work whose scope depends on your existing code or your release cadence is quoted per app, because a fixed price on open-ended work is how a services practice quietly loses money. You always get an exact number before you pay anything.
Do you have case studies or client logos?
No, and we would rather say so than invent them. This is a new services practice. What we can put in front of you instead is our own apps in both stores, the actual pre-submission checklist we run, and a sample deliverable for whichever piece of work you are considering. Ask before you commit anything.
What access do you need to my developer account?
The minimum for the job, and only after you have booked. For App Store work that is usually an App Store Connect API key with the App Manager role limited to one app, or a team invite scoped the same way. For Play work it is a Play Console user invite. Both are revoked in a single click, and neither involves your account password. Prefer not to grant access at all? Ask for the deliverables-only handoff and upload it yourself.
How do I pay?
The fixed-price services — the ASO Audit Sprint, the Review-Mining Report and the three Localization Sprint tiers — are bought directly on this site through Paddle, our payment provider, which handles VAT and sales tax for your country. Everything else is quoted first and invoiced on the same system once you approve the scope, so you never pay before you know the exact number.
What happens if the work does not deliver what was described?
You get your money back. What we do not promise is a ranking outcome — that depends on your app, your category and the store's own algorithm, and any provider guaranteeing a position is telling you something they cannot know.
Start with the app and the problem
One message with your store link and what is going wrong is enough. You will get scope, price and a date back — or a straight answer that it is not worth paying us for.
