The Nexus Pivot is a one-person software studio. I am Prakrin Kumar, and I write the apps, the support replies and the guides on this site.

What we build and why

Every app here shares one design decision: the work happens on your device. A PDF you edit in PDFPivot is changed on your phone or Mac, not uploaded to a server that edits it and sends a new file back. That is a deliberate constraint, and it is harder to build this way — it means implementing PDF text editing, OCR and compression locally instead of calling someone else's API.

The reason is simple. The documents people most want to edit are the ones they would least want to hand over: identity documents, medical letters, bank statements, contracts. A tool that never needs to see them is a better tool.

The apps

  • PDFPivot for Android and iPhone — read, edit, annotate, sign, scan, OCR, convert and compress PDFs on a phone or tablet. Free with ads, with an optional subscription.
  • PDFPivot for Mac — the desktop editor, version 1.0.1, free to use with a one-time $59.99 licence that removes the export mark.
  • VidPivot for Android — an in-app browser with a WhatsApp status saver for statuses shared with you, and tools for keeping your own media.

How we make money

Plainly, because it affects how you should read anything we write: the mobile apps are free and carry advertising, with an optional subscription that removes ads and the watermark on free exports. PDFPivot for Mac is a one-time purchase sold directly through Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. We do not sell user data, and we do not take payment for the recommendations on our comparison pages — the outbound links to competing products carry no affiliate tracking.

Writing on this site

The how-to guides and comparisons are written by me, from working on these problems directly. Where a comparison includes one of our own apps, it is listed alongside the alternatives and we say plainly where a different tool is the better answer. Where a page cites a number, it links to the source. If you find something wrong on this site, tell us and it gets corrected.
